Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 12, 2026

Last Updated: May 12, 2026

GOSTO is a private dinner series operated by Promotora Systems Inc., a California corporation (“we,” “us,” or “GOSTO”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have when you interact with gosto.co or apply to attend a GOSTO gathering.

We collect the minimum necessary to curate intentional gatherings. We do not sell personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly.

When you submit an invitation request, we collect:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Location (city, state, or region)
  • LinkedIn, Instagram, or personal website
  • How you heard about GOSTO
  • Any additional context you choose to share

When you are invited and confirm a seat, we additionally collect:

  • Payment information (processed by our third-party payment processor — we do not store full card numbers)
  • Dietary restrictions, food allergies, and accessibility needs
  • Emergency contact information, where requested

Information we collect automatically.

When you visit gosto.co, we may collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed. This is used for security, performance, and basic analytics.

Information we do not collect.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen (18). We do not record or transcribe any portion of a GOSTO gathering.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Review your invitation request and curate balanced tables

  • Communicate with you about your application, an invitation, or a confirmed gathering

  • Process payment for a confirmed seat
  • Accommodate dietary, accessibility, and safety needs
  • Send occasional updates about GOSTO (you may unsubscribe at any time)
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our Site and gatherings
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to build a public profile, train automated decision systems against your data, or share it with unrelated third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as follows:

  • Service providers. Vendors who help us operate GOSTO — including our email platform (Mailchimp), payment processor ([INSERT, e.g., Stripe]), website host, and analytics tools — under contractual obligations to protect your information.
  • Venues and hosts. When you are a confirmed guest, we may share your first name and dietary or accessibility needs with the venue or host as needed for the gathering.
  • Other guests. We do not share your contact information with other guests. At the gathering itself, you choose how much to reveal of yourself in conversation.
  • Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of any person.
  • Business transfers. If GOSTO or Promotora Systems Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

4. Cookies and Tracking

gosto.co uses essential cookies to operate the Site and may use limited analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate Site usage. We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Invitation requests not accepted: retained for up to twenty-four (24) months in case a future gathering is a better fit, unless you request earlier deletion.
  • Confirmed guests: retained for the duration of our relationship and for up to seven (7) years afterward, as needed for tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping.
  • Email subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Payment records: retained as required by our payment processor and applicable law.

After applicable retention periods expire, we delete or anonymize your information.
