GOSTO is a private dinner series operated by Promotora Systems Inc., a California corporation (“we,” “us,” or “GOSTO”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your application to attend, attendance at, and participation in any GOSTO gathering, as well as your use of gosto.co (the “Site”).
By submitting an invitation request, accepting an invitation, or attending a GOSTO dinner, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not apply.
GOSTO convenes small, curated groups of strangers for a private dinner and one intentional conversation, revealed only after the main course. Gatherings take place in private residences or intimate venues across the United States.
The experience is designed to be civil, candid, and intentionally uncomfortable. By participating, you acknowledge and accept that nature.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to apply for or attend a GOSTO gathering. By submitting an invitation request, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
Submitting an invitation request does not entitle you to attend a GOSTO dinner. We curate each table for balance — perspective, energy, and lived experience — and we reserve the absolute right to accept, decline, defer, or withdraw any invitation request at our sole discretion, with or without explanation.
Approval is communicated by email. An invitation is confirmed only upon receipt of payment and a written confirmation from GOSTO.
By accepting an invitation, you agree to the following conditions of participation:
Attend solo. No plus-ones, no substitutions, no transfers without prior written approval.
Be fully present. Phones are collected at entry and returned at the end of the evening.
Engage respectfully. Curiosity is required. Consensus is not.
Hold what is shared in confidence (see Section 5).
Arrive sober enough to participate. Alcohol may be served at our discretion. Intoxication that disrupts the gathering is grounds for removal.
We reserve the right to remove any guest whose conduct, in our sole judgment, undermines the safety, civility, or integrity of the experience. No refund will be issued in those circumstances.
GOSTO operates under a principle commonly known as the Chatham House Rule: what is said may be shared; who said it may not. Specifically:
This confidentiality obligation survives the conclusion of the gathering and these Terms.
Exact gathering locations are shared only with confirmed guests, typically 24–72 hours before the event. You agree not to disclose, post, geotag, or otherwise distribute the venue address.
Gatherings may take place in private residences. You enter such venues at your own risk and agree to treat all property and other guests with respect.
Seat fee. Each confirmed seat carries a fee disclosed at the time of invitation. Payment is processed through a third-party payment processor ([INSERT PROCESSOR, e.g., Stripe]). By submitting payment, you authorize that charge and accept the processor’s terms.
Non-refundable, conditionally transferable. Because each table is built around a confirmed roster, seat fees are non-refundable. If you must cancel with at least [INSERT NOTICE WINDOW, e.g., 14 days] written notice before the gathering, we will offer a credit toward a future GOSTO dinner of equal tier, valid for twelve (12) months. Cancellations inside that window forfeit the seat and fee. No-shows forfeit the seat and fee.
Event cancellation by GOSTO. If we cancel a gathering for any reason other than your conduct, you will receive a full refund of the seat fee or, at your option, a credit toward a future gathering. GOSTO is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other incidental costs.
Force majeure. We are not liable for cancellations or changes caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, public health emergencies, civil unrest, venue unavailability, or government action. In those cases, credit toward a future dinner is the sole remedy.
You are responsible for disclosing any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions relevant to your participation at the time we request that information. While we make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. If your condition is severe, attend at your own risk and bring any necessary medication.
You assume all ordinary risks of dining in a private setting, including food, alcohol, and travel to and from the venue.
GOSTO may take limited ambient photography (room, table, decor — not faces or identifying details of guests) for marketing purposes. If you are inadvertently captured in a photograph, we will not publish it without your prior written consent.
Guests may not photograph or record any portion of the event without GOSTO’s express written permission.
The GOSTO name, logo, format, materials, prompts, conversation frameworks, and Site content are owned by Promotora Systems Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, replicate, or commercially adapt the GOSTO format or materials without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of any ideas you contribute in conversation. Your contributions are not sold, licensed, or assigned to GOSTO by virtue of attending.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Promotora Systems Inc., its officers, directors, employees, contractors, hosts, and venues are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your application, attendance, or conduct at a GOSTO gathering, including but not limited to emotional distress, reputational harm, lost opportunity, or harm caused by another guest’s conduct or statements.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your participation in GOSTO shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific gathering giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (such as for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Promotora Systems Inc. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, hosts, and venues from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your conduct at a GOSTO gathering, or (c) your unauthorized disclosure of another guest’s identity, statements, or information.
Informal resolution. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL] and attempt to resolve the matter in good faith for at least thirty (30) days.
Binding arbitration. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in Orange County, California, under its applicable rules. Each party bears its own costs unless the arbitrator orders otherwise. You waive any right to participate in a class action.
Carve-out. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or confidentiality obligations.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active applicants and confirmed guests. Continued participation after notice constitutes acceptance.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
